The Residences at Mandarin Oriental is located within the ICONSIAM compound and is within a walkable distance to entertainment venues, restaurants, public transportations, hotels, and shopping centers. The project has an entrance and exit on Charoen Nakhon Road which connect many routes to and from the CBD (Central Business District). It also situates right on Chao Phraya River bank that allows the residents to admire an unblocked view of the majestic Chao Phraya River.
“Charoen Nakhon” is the main road within the Thonburi neighborhood. This area was the main business and cultural district as there were several rice mills and warehouses in the past. Consequently, railway lines such as Khlong San – Wongwian Yai – Mahachai were constructed. As time passed, the water and rail transportation popularity were greatly reduced. In terms of business, the district’s popularity was reduced simultaneously. However, the current ambiance still reflects the charming traditional way of life.
In recent years, the area has become home to 3-5 star hotels, high-end condominiums, and community malls, as well as the advent of ICONSIAM, bringing the district back to life. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is located within the ICONSIAM project which spans over 50 Rais of land along the Chao Phraya River. As mentioned, the project has an entrance and exit on Charoen Nakhon Road which conveniently connects to Bangkok’s business district. The project is located not far from the city center. The area of this project is adjacent to the waterfront, allowing you to see the entire Chao Phraya River. There is no surprise that Charoen Nakhon road is home to a number of five-star hotels such as the Millennium Hilton and Peninsula Bangkok.
By Private Car:
Traveling by car is the most convenient way to reach The Residences at Mandarin Oriental by using Charoen Nakhon Road that intersects with Krung Thonburi from the Sathorn route. You can turn right to Saphan Taksin and cross to Sathorn straight away. Driving inbound from outer Bangkok, Ratchapreuk road, is also convenient. The Residences at Mandarin Oriental offers up to 220% of parking spaces which is great for residents owners.
By Public Transport:
Getting to the project by public transport is also convenient. The skytrain, BTS Gold Line, serves as a choice of transport for residents since its commencement in 2020. The Charoen Nakhon station is located right in front of the ICONSIAM. There are 4 access points which are the bridge over the canal, Thong Pleng Temple, Soi Charoen Nakhon 6, and Soi Charoennakorn 4 (right in front of the super-luxury shopping center). Furthermore, the line is expected to be extended along Somdet Chao Phraya Road to connect with the MRT Purple Line within 2023. It will also merge with Krung Thonburi BTS station with Prajadhipok Road in Thon Buri District.
ICONSIAM also offers free shuttle buses and boat service for the residents to and from the pickup points some of which include BTS Wongwianyai, BTS Krung Thonburi, and Sathorn pier.
The Chao Phraya River is the highlight of the Rattanakosin period. The neighborhood has its own charm like nowhere else in Bangkok. The vibes of the old town are captivating. Charoen Nakhon preserves the historic ambiance whilst becoming the hub of luxury condominiums, museums, lifestyle malls, restaurants, super-luxury shopping malls, and unique bars. Apart from that, the area holds an authentic vintage touch of trendy restaurants.
The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok is in close proximity to world-class hospital, St. Louis hospital, which is only 850 meters away, schools: Bangkok Christian (3 kilometers away), Assumption College (3.1 kilometers away), lifestyle malls: Sena Fest (900 meters away), Lhong 1919 (1.3 kilometers away) and Asiatique (6.3 kilometers away). Not to mention, ICONSIAM, Bangkok’s super-luxury mall is only a few steps away.
Around the charming Charoen Nakhon neighborhood, the peaceful yet lively community is home to numerous mouth-watering restaurants and street food such as the famous fried oysters at Hoi Tod Chaw Lae, Kao Lao Siang Jee (braised beef stew), and guay jub (rice noodle soup with pork belly). There is so much more to explore within Charoen Nakhon. Spend a day here and you will fall in love with its limitless charm.

Inside the residence project, there is a large garden along the waterfront where residents can enjoy the fresh air and feel the breeze of the Chao Phraya River. The garden area is designed to be 4 meters above flood control, with a robust flood protection dam system. The Grand Residential Lobby is symmetrically decorated with a double-volume high ceiling. The back of the lobby area offers a bird’s eye view of the Chao Phraya River. The construction designer focused on the Chao Phraya River and its view as the highlight of the project. Therefore, residents can appreciate the golden tones as the main color of the project, resulting from the theme, “Golden River”.
Incredible design by Joyce Wang
The interior space is designed by Joyce Wang, a Hong Kong-based female designer, who has contributed to many of the world-class residential and restaurants including ones in London, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Hamburg, Vancouver, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and many more. Joyce Wang defined the luxury of this project through functional space, lighting, layout, and furniture layout, both for common areas and within the rooms. Within the lobby, there is a large custom-made set of chairs designed by Joyce Wang furniture set which emphasizes openness and elegance. The living area is separated into multiple corners. The furniture sets are also designed by the talented designer who intentionally makes them different. However, they relate through the same pattern and color tone.
The private elevators are located in 4 halls. There are 2 elevators in each hall. The walls are detailed with lines and curves, which have the origin of the design from the nature of the waves that occur in the river.
The second and third floor of the building are automatic parking spaces, while the entire fourth and fifth floor is the common area with a high ceiling, approximately 8.3 meters. The design is somewhat similar to the lobby. The communal area includes the dining area, children’s area, and changing rooms for the outdoor pool and party terrace. The project’s salt system 35 x 8 meters pool is 1.2 meters deep. Residents can enjoy the infinity-edge pool while admiring the beauty of the Chao Phraya River
Game Room and More
Apart from that, the Game Room is prompted with a large pool table overlooking the Chao Phraya River from a large window. The shower area is decorated in white marble with a sauna and steam room. The Sauna room is decorated with white Mosaic which serves up to 4-5 people at a time. The fitness, private studio, golf simulator, and virtual game room are located on the fifth floor. The fitness zone is fully equipped with cardio machines, weight training, towels, and complimentary refrigerated drinks.
The 36th floor is also dedicated to the residents’ common area which gets a higher angle view of the Chao Phraya river. The interior of this floor is more focused on a quieter zone or relaxing zone, unlike the 4th and 5th floor. It consists of The Oriental Salon, library, Siam Salon, and Lotus Business suite conference room. A marble counter, electric stove, and refrigerator are also available.
